1.The honing allowance should be suitable. Small allowance, can not fully eliminate the inherent error of cylinder bore, re-establish precision. Large allowance, long time of honing, low processing efficiency, fast wear of honing stone, high processing cost and poor processing accuracy, unstable quality.
2.The amount and rate of outgrowth of honing stone should be consistent with the amount and rate of removal of metal. Excised metal much honing stone out less, will appear empty stroke, waste maneuver time, reduce the processing efficiency. Cut less metal, more out of the honing stone, honing stone and cylinder hole extrusion, resulting in cylinder hole deformation, serious will crash the honing stone, not only affect the processing speed and destroy the accuracy.
3.The quality and efficiency of honing mainly depend on the cutting performance of honing stone. Honing stone cutting performance is good, then the quilting speed is fast, high efficiency. On the contrary, the honing stone cutting performance is poor, metal removal rate is low, then the honing stone extrusion cylinder hole, and even appear to smash the phenomenon of honing stone. At this time, the size precision, shape precision, cylinder hole surface mesh state is not good.
4.The cutting performance of honing stone depends on the abrasive material, particle size and binder of honing stone, and finally on the hardness of honing stone. High hardness and low elasticity, poor cutting performance; Low hardness, honing stone soft, fast threshing, honing stone quickly wear.
5.The commonly used materials for honing are diamond, corundum, silicon carbide, etc. With good cutting performance, diamond abrasive is commonly used, rough honing stone is commonly used in the particle size of D151 or D126. The fine honing stone is generally D64 or D46. Good honing effect of the platform mesh abrasive is silicon carbide, commonly used is C30 silicon carbide platform honing stone.
